Blatant disregard for the crosswalk is not uncommon in my experience biking to and from work everyday. When there is no bike lane, I sometimes like to ride on the sidewalk of Congress because it feels a lot safer than riding near the cars whizzing down that street. But it's a lot harder for me to get off the curb and around a motorist than it is for a pedestrian (which is still annoying for them). And more often than not, these people are pulling over the crosswalk when pedestrians have the signal to walk or see me coming and intentionally block it because I guess I should go around them? I mean, they're the ones who had the decency to buy a car, right?
